This is Key West, also in Florida in reality. Again, more beaches and houses. From what I hear though it is a really nice place. I've never been there, I can't compare

Club Bora Bora ~ ~ By Holly Crohe

I chose to go to the Club. There were people dancing under a dance ball and lots of crazy lights. The dance floor was amazing. I started to dance as well. There were two other dancers there. I could hear them, they were talking out loud. The one actually said, "what is she doing here?" I thought that was a little funny. Once I started dancing, I had a hard time stopping. But all in all, I found some palms to take a picture next to. The hard part was snapping my shot in front of the palm, because I lost my self a few times behind all those bushes.

I always wanted to travel to Hawaii, so I figured why not in the virtual world. It was beautiful. The water was very blue and the land was beautiful. While I have been visiting virtual worlds and other places, I notice there are lots of signs to view things and join groups. The "Join Our Group' sign was my inspiration.

The Statue of Liberty ~ ~ By Holly Crohe

I always loved going to the Statue of Liberty as a child. This was my inspiration for visiting New York in the virtual world. Although the graphics are very good, it is nothing compared to the real world; however, you can not fly to the top of the tower as I am here. I like the whole idea of flying and teleporting. It is easy and you can go anywhere.

I figured I would go to the shopping mall. I mean who does not like to shop? Well my experience here was a dull one. This was Graigs Shopping Mall. I did not see very many stores. I did however see pretty flowers next to a model. This is where that snap shot was taken.

Gettler The Gaming Parlor ~~ By Holly Crohe

Who does not like to gamble. The casino had to be the most popular place I visited. There were more people hear than anywhere else. I tried to play the games but gave up after I could not figure it out. I just walked around and took in the scenery. Again the graphics are amazing. It almost makes you feel like you are really in the casino. It probably a good thing I was not, or I would be broke.

AX club- Alicex Vlodovic (steph Morgan)

this is AX (AnthroXstacy) club. it is a furry community night club. Furries are anthropomorphic creatures showing human and animal characteristics.

this is Mouse world! (aka Disney world) it has wonderful virtual recreated Disney world rides such as: haunted mansion, pirates of the Caribbean, the Tiki room, space mountain, tea cups, fantasy land carousel, and many more!!

Transylvanian cemetery- Alicex Vlodovic (steph Morgan)

this is an ancient Transylvanian Cemetery. in the resting place of old Transylvania are tombstones and mausoleums. beside me a statue/tombstone of the grim reaper.

Olde Mystic Villege, Connecticut- Meesha Ashmoot

This is a place called Olde Mystic Villege and it is located in Connecticut. This place is kind of modeled like Peddlers Villege around our way. It is filled with different shops and fun things to do. Fun Fact, Mystic Villege is loctaed in the same city as the movie "Mystic Pizza" was filmed. The virtual Mystic Villege and the real one look a lot a like.

Mouse World- Meesha Ashmoot (Melissa)

This is Mouse World, the Second Life version of Disney World. Disney World is one of Florida's biggest attractions made for people of all ages. Mouse World looks an awful lot like Disney World in many ways. Both have the Princess Castle, both have statues in front of the castle and both have a main street.

Bar Harbor, Maine-Meesha Ashmoot (Melissa)

This is Bar Harbor. Bar Harbor is in the state of Maine. It is a place that is mainly for boating and it is also a major tourist attraction for those visiting the state. I was there back in July, it kind of looks like this.

The Wall (night club)-AliceX Vlodovic (stephanie morgan)

This is The Wall. It is a Transylvanian club on second life. It is outdoors with two long walls at either end of it. It's the perfect place for a vampire to hang out, dance, and have fun! humans are welcome too and don't worry. We vampires don't bite, too hard. ;)

I am a little bit of Irish. I wanted to visity Ireland which I found the old celtic ways of the Irish. Picking cabbage and walking around the fields and I saw sheep and the Irish rocks.

I wanted to visit Africa because I think its a beautiful country that is taken for granted and wanted to see what it was like in the virtual world. I visited with the wild animals. There was a beautiful hummingbird of some sort which kept on following me, then wouldn't sit still to take a picture. I decided to take the picture with the elephant which is good luck because I need it this year.

I decided to visit Tuscany in Italy. I took a nice walk and found this beautiful waterfall, which not many avatars where at. Im a little surprised that I did not see anyone making out.

This is me wondering around a virtual mall,it has many options of style to choose from which may come with a price. I bumped into other avatars who dress very provocative. However the experience was much more different then going to the mall.

this is my sl home i love the fact that you can live any where you wish in Second life. i like to relax and change outfits privately in the comfort of my sl home. My sl home is a small castle. in this picture is two of my sl freinds. i like to have company over and have parties at my house :). woot! PARTY! (i'm the bat furry on the right ;D)

P.S. I upgraded to a bigger castle recently and I am working on a new picture :D

Second Life experience of the court of HEARTs

Virtually society is much different than real world society in just about every aspect, except for the fact that you can communicate between each other by chatting. First, we all have created an avatar that is much different than our real world image. Also, we can visit other countries and homes of people who we do not associate with. In the real world, vacations cost money and you cannot walk in a stranger’s house, at least not without some type of repercussion. In the real world, you have to work for what you achieve in the virtual world, you have the opportunity to be whatever you chose.
When we met as a group in second life, it was very comical. There were a few of us in the group who were running around each other, trying to find a place to take our picture. Our group leader was much more familiar with second life, so she showed us how to manipulate our characters. We went to Stephanie’s virtual house mostly. Meeting in the virtual world seemed to be a little more complicated than meeting either in real life or via the vista. We were so busy trying to figure out our avatar and how to dress, we did not spend enough time communicating with words.
The second life experience can enhance the teaching and learning experiences, by allowing groups of people to be in contact in a fun way. We are able to view other parts of the world, arts, and very different types of people through second life as well as communicate with other people throughout the world. Second life allows students to learn more about the subjects teachers may be teaching on, by allowing us to be in other areas of the world.
